How long have you been in business?
Bouchard's Floral and Gifts LLC was created by the joining of two very successful local small businesses, in June 2001. The flower shop has been in operation for nearly 20 years, while the ceremony and reception decorating business, formerly known as Bells & Bows, was started in 1997 by Tamara and Tina.
What types of certifications do you have?
Our shop is a member of WUMFA (Wisconsin and Upper Michigan's Floral Association). As a team, we attend classes regularly through WUMFA. In addition, we have three designers working on a floral design certificate through the Floral Art School of Australia. Our next goal... AIFD (American Institute of Floral Designers), the highest accreditation in the floral industry.
How far in advance do I need to book my florist?
We recommend reserving your florist approximately one year prior to your wedding day. Keep in mind that you do not need to make final decisions on your flowers - or even choose them at this time. That can be taken care of much closer to the wedding date.
What should I look for when choosing a florist?
Most brides will shop around to compare prices. Keep in mind that the quality and the quantity of flowers may be a factor here. In addition, be sure to choose a florist that will offer the services you are looking for (i.e. delivery, set-up, etc.). Most importantly, choose someone that you feel will go "above and beyond" to provide you with the look you want. And finally, make sure you feel comfortable with whomever you choose.
Where do you get your flowers from?
Most of our flowers are imported from Holland and South America. In addition, we do order some from California, and occasionally have to import the more tropical flowers from Thailand.
Are you familiar with area churches and reception halls?
Yes. Through the years we have developed exceptional relationships with the area churches and receptional halls. We are very familiar with their policies and expectations. It is important to us to continue to maintain these excellent relationships.
What types of services do you offer?
Services we offer for flowers include delivery and set-up at the ceremony and/or reception hall. In addition, we can also transport flowers from the ceremony to the reception hall. Services we offer for ceremony and reception decorating include set-up and take-down of all of our decorations. In addition, we can assist with any items you may have that need to be set out at the reception hall.
What kinds of decorating do you do?
We offer a variety of options when it comes to decorating. Flowers are always a beautiful compliment to any decorating theme. In addition, we work with tulle, lights, silk floral swags, ribbons and bows, and balloons. We also offer many different options for table centerpieces.
Do you offer ceiling decorating?
Yes! We are very experienced with ceiling decor! Many reception halls will only allow insured decorators to work with their ceilings ... that's us!
What types of rental items do you have?
Our rental items include several arches and matching pairs of candelabras, many different card holders, silk altar pieces, silk unity candle centerpieces, guest table centerpieces, pew lamps, and silk plants/trees.
What kinds of accessories do you have in your shop?
We carry complete lines of accessories from three different vendors. This allows us to offer a larger variety of products. Our accessories include: toasting glasses, cake knife and server sets, ring bearer pillows, flower girl baskets, purses, guest books, pens, hankies, garters, unity candles with matching tapers, feather pens and cake toppers. In addition, we have many beautiful picture frames, framed poems, hankies and CDs.
